Case studies

 Rugby Parkway Station

With work due to begin in 2025 and an anticipated opening date of 2026, the introduction of this new station will improve passenger experiences of sustainable train travel. Complimented with bus, cycle and pedestrian routes, the station will become more accessible. Beneficially, the station will ease congestion of road networks and provide direct rail services to London, Milton Keyes, Northampton, Coventry and Birmingham, and a circa 5-minute journey time into Rugby itself.

Warm Welcomes

Introduced in 2022, the Countywide winter initiative endeavours to tackle social isolation with community venues extending hours and hosting more events. Warm welcome locations invite residents, families and friends into safe and warm spaces and offers practical tips on energy saving. Rugby has also opened The Benn Partnership Centre in June 2023, providing more transport support and access to Community Energy trained volunteers offering energy efficiency advice.
