Growing Opportunities
Growing Opportunities in Stratford-on-Avon District is a long-term ambition, shared across the broad range of partner agencies.
Hosted by Stratford District's Social Inclusion Partnership and facilitated jointly by the District and County Councils, the Growing Opportunities plan aims to build upon a rich history of partnership working within the area. Our pledge is that all partners will work together and achieve together for the benefit of our communities.

Local priorities
Warwickshire County Council and Stratford-on-Avon District Council have identified four priority themes in the region:

Case studies
Warm Welcomes – Health
Introduced in 2022 to tackle social isolation, cold weather and heating costs, families and friends were invited to a number of community venues where they may feel safe and warm, as well as energy saving tips and practical advice. In May 2023, Stratford-Upon-Avon’s Warm Hub took things a step further, running coffee mornings and exercise classes for residents in friendly community venues.
The Green Recovery Business Grant Scheme
Launched in October 2022 to deliver £30,000 to decarbonise grants for Warwickshire businesses, The Green Recovery Businesses Grant Scheme was extended until July 2023. The Scheme works as part of the COVID recovery and investment programmes, supporting local economic recovery as demonstrated with the first two grants expecting to result in a yearly saving of 28.2 tonnes of carbon and support businesses reducing their energy costs. In Stratford Upon Avon, Rough Hill Farm Shop which has benefitted, using grant funding to insulate the shop roof as well as supported the development of the shop’s plans for growth and increasing employee numbers.
